Sheriff wants to sue Mexico over illegal drugs, immigrants
Sheriff Jones wants to sue Mexico over illegal drugs, immigrants
Lawsuit would seek compensation for costs of arrest and incarceration of Mexican citizens.

HAMILTON — Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones’ has taken his stiff, and sometimes controversial, stance on illegal immigration to a whole new level.
His latest plan: Sue Mexico.
Yes, the outspoken sheriff, who wants to pass an Arizona-like immigration law in Ohio and once sent the federal government a $70,000 bill for the undocumented immigrants housed in his jail, is now looking into the possibility of filing a civil lawsuit against the Mexican government and its president, Felipe Calderon.
The lawsuit, which would likely be filed in federal court, is in regards to “the drugs coming into the United States, particularly Butler County,â€

About damn time! Like elpasoborn I think it won't go anywhere until every jail in the US joins in, then of course Obozo will jump in to stike the lawsuits down.

I don't see how any state or municipality can be effective at all without the support of the top of the Federal government. It's not local law enforcement that's not doing their job, it's the Feds not allowing law enforcement to do their jobs and the Feds interfering with the rights of the states and interfering with local law enforcement. Arpaio is a great example. He tries to do his job, the job that he was elected to do and in doing so, he gets sued by the Feds.
Another example is the Falcon Lake incident. It's clear that local law enforcement knows exactly what went down...they have seen it before. The Feds are the ones poo-pooing that law enforcement. All along the Mexican Border, there are federal laws and local laws in place and again, it's the Feds that are interfering with the enforcement of laws already in place. And in doing so, the Federal government is sending a clear message to other countries that law enforcement in the US is a bunch of out of control BS.

There's going to come a time, soon, when ALL states will be forced to require accountability from the federal government. They simply can't afford to continue to foot the bill for illegal aliens. It doesn't take rocket science to see what's coming given our economic and political climate.
