Six immigrants face deportation after sex-related crimes

WHITE PLAINS - Authorities rounded up six illegal immigrants yesterday with plans to deport them because they were convicted of sex-related offenses.

Three of the men were convicted of sex crimes against 14-year-old girls, while the others victimized adults, including a disabled woman. Several of them are registered sex offenders.

The arrests were the latest in a series ordered by U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials under a program dubbed Operation Predator. Federal authorities, with help from the Westchester County Probation Department, have arrested nearly 100 immigrants while targeting sex offenders for deportation.

"This is now 98 sex offenders since 2003 that have been pulled out of Westchester," said Louis Conte, assistant commissioner of probation. "Obviously, these offenders will not be able to victimize children here again."

The men arrested yesterday morning had already been found guilty and were re-arrested when they reported to the Probation Department in the county courthouse for what they thought would be routine meetings. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and Westchester probation officers were awaiting their arrival, escorting the probationers into a large room where they were handcuffed and informed they faced deportation.

None put up a struggle, and the only complication came when a fire alarm sounded and authorities briefly evacuated them and everyone else from the courthouse before the building was deemed safe.

    Those arrested:

Juan Castillo, 24, a Mexican living in New Rochelle, convicted of raping a 14-year-old.

Otmar Coral, 28, a Jamaican living in the Bronx, convicted of raping a disabled adult.

Kenneth Johnson, 45, a Jamaican living in New Rochelle, convicted of sexual misconduct against a 14-year-old.

Jhonny Lupercio, 23, a Peruvian living in New Rochelle, convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl.

Luis Rodriguez, 32, a Peruvian living in White Plains, convicted of unlawful surveillance of a 34-year-old.

Johny Villafuerte-Salas, 42, a Peruvian living in White Plains, convicted of assaulting a 24-year-old.

These are just the ones they have caught , I am sure there are many many more perpetrators. The horrific thing about illegal immigration is the first crime they commit is crossing the border....than the crimes snowball after that....ID theft, robbery, rape murder and the list goes on. Cry for these victims all you that cry for the perpetrators

    illegal sex offenders

my letter re garding these terrible crimes

Re. Illegal Immigration & a Pathway to Citizenship

Dear Sen. Nancy Pelosi - House Democratic Leader

See the enclosed article, “Six immigrants face deportation after sex-related crimes”.

These sex offenders, from NY should go to prison. Our border is so UNSECURE, that deportation will merely enable them to return to the USA. Numerous criminals are deported and simply steal back across the border. Then they steal a new identity and another job.

Our borders and ports must be secured BEFORE we even think about a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens. If we don’t have secure borders, any pathway will merely make the problem worse. The world’s criminals are invading us.

I believe most Americans want more enforcement and security. The federal govt. has simply failed to implement our immigration laws. Any type of amnesty or pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens is morally wrong. I strongly oppose it and can’t vote for any elected representative that supports it.

If our border was secure, these perverts would have never been allowed to prey on our children. We simply must fully secure the border. We must turn off the magnet for illegal aliens. We must remove every excuse that enables them to be illegally employed.

The SSA simply must contact every employer with “no match” letters for every fake SSN. Additionally, the SSA must notify every employer of every SSN used by more than one person. The SSA must share this information with Homeland Security.

Good letter Magyart, it is that type of action by our many members that will let our lawmakers know that we will not tolerate amnesty. It also lets them know what these illegal aliens are doing to our citizens and our country. There is no upside to giving these illegal aliens amnesty and we must secure our borders to stop anymore from coming in as well as apprehend those already in here and deport them. Otherwise we will become like Europe and we can all see the problems they are having there now.
Freedom isn't free... Don't forget the men who died and gave that right to all of us....

    Dear Shawn,
Immigration is a legal process whereby foreign nationals are invited to these United States. Your word choice and association of individuals such as those described does a huge diservice to actual immigrants. Why would you set up folks that have complied with the law for a backlash in order to pander to the sensibilities of those who disrespect our country and the legal right of citizens to determine with whom they'll share liberty? Are you anti-immigrant? If not stop lumping the creatures above in the immigrant population.
    Thanks
