No, you are thinking of the additiional $4000 they would have to pay to get a green card. So why would anyone pay $4000 to get a green card when they could stay a Z-visa holder indefinitely for $1000?

Visa overstays are a huge issue. If somebody broke the law once, why would they think twice about saving 1,000 bucks and just never updating their z-visa ever again?

If this amnesty bill passes all it will do is get a rough count of current illegal immigrants and in a few years we will be back to square one with 12 million overstay z-visa's and even more illegals that have jumped the border as it still will not get secured.

A promise from the gov't to secure our borders today is just as empty as it was in 86. Enforcement first, secure the border then come talk to me about "immigration reform"

Exactly all they would have to do it drop an anchor baby never renew the visa and the government will let them stay forever! 10 years from now the government will say "we cannot deport all 30 million illegal aliens".

Why should they pay anything. Our government's not going to do anything to them if they don't.

I agree we have 30 million now, in ten years we will have 80 million illegal aliens, but the government will say it is only 30 million. As you know they lie about everything.
