Some Big Banks Enable Illegals to Send American Money Home
It'a all about money, the root of all evil!
http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/ch ... ?id=480463
It is shocking to learn that even some of our most prestigious banks and financial institutions are working with illegal aliens to spirit away illegally-earned American money to places where it is not supposed to be. Read FSM Contributing Editor Mike Cutler’s indictment of a few of them.
Some Big Banks Enable Illegals to Send American Money Home – Not Where It Belongs
Michael Cutler
Here’s a riddle for you. Why did the illegal alien cross the border? Answer: to get to the other country? No…to follow the money.
X
The great majority of illegal aliens who violate our nation's borders do so in order to earn money (illegally) and then send that money back to their families in their countries of origin. Whether the illegal alien simply worked at a menial job without the authority of our government or if he committed more serious violations of law by selling drugs, robbing banks, engaging in various forms of fraud and identity theft or otherwise committing felonies the motivation is the same, to acquire money that can be sent home, wherever "home" is.
The focus on securing our nation's borders to prevent and discourage illegal immigration will be doomed to fail no matter how hard we may try to erect a fence on the border (although given the nature of our politicians, I doubt we will ever see an honest-to-God fence built on our border). The open borders advocates - among them are leaders of special interest groups, immigration lawyers, politicians and executives of banks and other businesses - use the term "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" as a 'buzzword' that means guest worker amnesty and ultimately legalization for millions of illegal aliens among whom, undoubtedly, are criminals and terrorists.
We do, in fact, need comprehensive reform but not comprehensive as is envisioned by those whose agenda is to reward the millions of illegal aliens in our country for their having violated our borders and the immigration laws of our nation. We need to address all of the components of the immigration equation including, most significantly, the reasons that these aliens violate our borders in the first place.
The idea of going after the employers of illegal aliens in the program known as "Employer Sanctions" is important to the securing of our nation's borders, but we need to do more than go after the employers. Our government needs to make it as difficult as possible for illegal aliens to be able to send U.S. dollars out of the United States. It is in pursuit of those dollars that drives these illegal aliens across our nation's borders in violation of law. Yet the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States has apparently entered into an unholy alliance with Banco de Mexico to facilitate the transfer of money out of the United States. Under the arrangement, it will be up to the individual bank or remitter to screen the person wiring the money out of the United States. Talk about having the wolf guard the hen house!
For law enforcement, going after the money is not a new strategy. As I have noted on previous occasions, the strategy known as "Asset Forfeiture" is gaining more widespread use on the local, state and federal level in order to discourage violations of law as well as to fund law enforcement activities. When individuals acquire money and assets by violating the law, the various law enforcement agencies of our country attempt to seize the bankbooks, houses, jewelry, businesses, cars, boats and airplanes that were acquired by violating the laws.
Politicians going back to President Jimmy Carter have used semantics to try to sidestep the issue that illegal aliens are illegally present in the United States. The reality is that aliens do not have an inherent right to enter the United States of America any more than Americans have no right to enter other countries. Aliens need to be thought of as guests. In order to be a guest, the person needs to be invited in by the homeowner. When someone enters someone else's house without permission, a violation of law has occurred. It may be called trespassing or in more serious situations, the term "breaking and entering" may be applied. When an alien enters our country in violation of law and then works without permission, two separate violations of law have taken place. When an illegal alien then obtains false identity documents or worse, commits identity theft in order to obtain employment illegally in the United States, a serious felony is committed. Ask any victim of identity theft how much grief identity theft has caused them.
It is astounding to me that our nation's leaders use innocuous sounding language to obfuscate the fact that illegal aliens are violating often numerous laws. Senator Edward Kennedy has taken to simply referring to illegal aliens as "The Undocumented." The term “alien” has become the new "N" word. The open borders advocates refuse to use the term "Alien", a word that the Immigration and Nationality Act defines as being any person who is not a citizen or national of the United States. Can anyone tell me where that term is insulting or unfair? The Mexican laws refer to people who are in their country who are not citizens as being "foreigners." I assure you, they are not bashful about using that term or securing their borders or enforcing their immigration laws!
Yet the United States Senate, in passing S. 2611, the immigration reform bill that would provide a guest worker amnesty program to millions of illegal aliens, will put them on the path to citizenship (although I suspect that many of these illegal aliens have no desire to acquire citizenship in the United States, only our money). S.2611 has many other absolutely insane provisions including one that would enable aliens (who worked in our country in violation of our laws or who committed a serious felony or identity theft) to be able to apply for Social Security benefits they "earned" by working under someone else's name and number! They would be able to go back to their home country and wait for the envelope from the United States containing their Social Security check! The services offered by the new program would make it that much more convenient for these monies to be instantaneously wired out of the United States to Mexico. The sucking sound you are hearing could be the money being drained out of our financial troubled Social Security system to Mexico!
The Bank of Mexico is doing everything it can to expedite the flow of American greenbacks into Mexico from the United States sent by illegal aliens who acquired that money by violating our borders and our immigration laws. Among the law violators who would want to avail themselves of this service would undoubtedly be drug dealers and various and sundry criminals and terrorists. The proceeds of drug trafficking and other crimes committed in our country often fill the coffers of organized crime groups and terrorist organizations that use those funds to carry out their nefarious objectives.
And don’t forget: the movement of this money is being facilitated by the Federal Reserve Bank!
Western Union, according to the report, paid a fine of $3,000,000 to the state of Arizona for failing to keep proper records of the moneys that they wired out of the United States. While 3 million dollars may sound like a substantial fine, consider the sentence I have copied below from a report issued by First Data Corp, the parent company of Western Union, on the earnings of Western Union:
"-- Western Union, which had revenue and operating profit of approximately $4.0 billion and $1.3 billion respectively for 2005, presented in the new segment format. This business, which includes Western Union, Orlandi Valuta and the recently acquired Vigo business, will continue to be led by Christina Gold. "
The report, in its entirety can be found at:
http://ir.firstdata.com/news/releasedet ... eID=185489
Think about it, Western Union earned considerably more than one billion dollars in 2005 and its profits continue to grow as the number of illegal aliens entering the United States and availing themselves of the services offered by Western Union and other money remitters and banks also grows.
X
These banks, including the Federal Bank of the United States and Banco de Mexico and money remitters are, in effect, the silent partners of millions of law violators who are willing, for a price, to facilitate the movement of the ill-gotten money from the United States and into Mexico and from there to countries all over the world.
X
Can our nation's leaders do any more to undermine our nation's security? I suspect they are, even as you are reading this, working to see if they can.

This is another form of money laundering as it is money obtained illegally and send the bulk of the money home in case they get caught. It does not all go to relatives but their own joint accounts back home. I wish that the government and banks would wake up and smell the coffee.

12-12-2006, 12:01 PM #4That my friend is called theft. Illegal immigrants are stealing jobs that struggling Americans rely on for survival and U.S. citizen taxpayer hard-earned money. Basically American taxpayers are supporting two economies, that of Mexico and the United States. If anyone ever wondered why our government is constantly harping on the need for job growth and a booming economey - well, now you have your answer! It would be extremely difficult for the U.S. to support the Mexican economy without growing the jobs the illegal immigrants need. Think about it, what other reason could there be for our federal governments reluctance to enforce our immigration laws (corporate America and the federal government are partners in this endeavor)? Heck, each one of us probably know first-hand where groups of illegal immigrants are working and you can bet ICE does too. Why haven't they moved on the Smithfield pork processing plant in North Carolina? They know illegals are there (probably around 600 of them). Do you have any idea of how many meat processing plants there are in the United States? I'd be willing to bet almost all of them have illegals working in them. Sure, ICE makes some token apprehensions and busts, but nothing that would really impact the 12-20 millions illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States. How many business owners have been prosecuted for knowingly hiring illegal - only a handful to my knowledge. How many illegals have been deported in the last 12 months - probably on a few thousand. IMO, the arrest they make are simply for the sake of appearances. If ICE really wants us to believe they're doing their duty, than I would suggest they step it up several notches!

I can't comment on ICE in other areas but in South Florida they have been very active in one week they picked up 290 in North Miami Dade County and that area is not as full of them as the south part of the county is. I also know that in the state of Florida if you are here on a work permit or student visa then your driver's license expires on the same day. As soon as your license expires you are entered as an illegal and when the police run your driver's license it states right on the computer notify ICE. What is good is that the computer records are stored and if the dispatcher of info runs the person for an officer there is no officer discretion involved and ICE is notified. Many people of those who remain here illegally continue to drive and this is another method of them being apprehended.
Out of the 290 caught 62 were deported due to criminal histories or having deportation orders. The rest get deportation hearings but many of them are monitored until the hearings come up so they don't take off. This is what most people don't know.
I spoke to a Border Patrol Agent and he told me that they have been doing alot of ICE's job due to the lack of ICE agents down here. This is most likely the same in other cities and states. It also takes time to hire and train more ICE agents and takes a year or more from the time they apply, go through the academy and can work with minimal supervision. It would be alot less time consuming if they used agents from other agencies such as the FBI or DEA or police officers as they wouldn't take long to screen and the training would be less as they already know how to shot, self defense tactics and would need training in ICEs policy and procedures and the differences in federal laws that pretain to ICE. Many supreme court cases rulings on constitusional law are different when it comes to ICE as opposed to police officers and other federal agencies. But then you would have another problem of replacing those who transfered to ICE.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
