Spanish-language D-J expected to be deported

TUCSON, Ariz. A Mexican man who worked at a Spanish-language radio station in Tucson as a disc jockey and program manager has been detained by immigration authorities.

Federal agents say 44-year-old Jose Abel Castro-Lopez was expected to be deported because he was in the country illegally.

Castro-Lopez was detained yesterday at his home shortly before his K-C-M-T radio show was to begin.

Agents say Castro-Lopez had presented false documents to his employer to meet federal employment eligibility rules.

Authorities determined the broadcasting company that employed Castro-Lopez had followed employment rules and was unaware of his illegal status.

Castro-Lopez had been deported on two previous occasions and had sneaked back into the country after his last deportation in November 2004.
