The giant is awake and he isn't sleeping for now on! They'll just have to get use to playing by the rules or being hounded to no end about playing by the rules.

Specter's amnesty: Capitulation's stench
Wednesday, August 8, 2007
Sen. Arlen Specter is proposing replacing the roundly defeated plan to give amnesty to 12 million-plus illegal aliens with another plan to give amnesty to 12 million-plus illegal aliens.
What part of "NO" do you not understand, Senator?
Writing in The Washington Post, Mr. Specter, the Philadelphia Republicrat, says the main objective in the failed attempt to legalize millions of illegals "was to eliminate their fugitive status." That would have allowed them "to live in the United States without fear of being detected and deported or being abused by unscrupulous employers."
So, Specter proposes a "revised status" for the illegals: "Let them hold the status of those with green cards."
"This approach may be attacked as creating an 'underclass' inconsistent with American values," Specter says, noting these automatic green-carders would not have the right to vote. "But such a compromise is clearly better than leaving these people a fugitive class.
"(I)sn't it better for them to at least be secure aliens than hunted and exploited?" Specter asks.
Good grief, Senator, they're illegals -- they should be arrested and deported, not green-carded and coddled. What's wrong with you?
Arlen Specter calls his proposal "refreshing." All we smell is the stench of continuing capitulation.
