WACO (January 29, 2016) A Waco man was held Friday in the county jail after he was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl.

Eduardo Espinoza, Jr., 32, was ordered held on bonds totaling $29,000, charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and on a surety off bond on a charge of assault family violence, and without bond on a federal immigration detainer, online McLennan County Jail records showed.

Police say the incident happened in October 2015 at a South Waco residence and involved a girl who at the time was 9-years-old.

The child made an outcry and was interviewed by specialists at the Children’s Advocacy Center, after which police detectives obtained a warrant for a suspect.

Police say the child and the suspect were acquainted.
