Report Shows Teacher Did Not Treat Minority Students Differently
POSTED: 12:15 pm EDT October 7, 2005
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County School District report concluded that controversial teacher Jan Hall did not treat minority students differently in her classroom.
A letter Hall wrote to a public official surfaced in a Spanish language newspaper.
It included critical remarks about Haitians and Puerto Ricans.
The district examined Hall's grading and discipline records over five years for their report.
Her attorney, Fred O'Neal, calls this a vindication. "I don't care about what goes on between those two ears of yours. What I do care about is what your behavior is," said O'Neal.
Hall resigned from her teaching position, but her attorney says she wants to sue the district. He says that Hall claims she was forced out.
A district spokesman said he could not comment on the report due to the pending litigation.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn
