Tempers flare at immigration forum

The responses from both the police and the ICE official in that report are very distrubing. Their only interest is protecting the 'rights' of illegals.I am left with the feeling that we are on our own (which I suspected all along).

Illegal Sympathizers are in our courts,police,congress,city boards and even DHS.The laws are in place they just refuse to enforce them and of course they are constantly being assailed by pro-illegal groups and it takes true conviction to stand up to that !

The solution is to elect those who will start doing their job and protect OUR rights and yes some laws need to be changed to stop endless appeals,catch and release with a promise to show up for deportation hearing DUH.

We can do this,it will just take some time to weed them all out.........

It sounds like these cops are passing the buck.
Yes everyone should call Congress and keep on them until they enforce the laws but these cops have an obligation too.

that is what is happening here. Our town put on a workshop for immigrants called "know your rights". It was all about their rights to benefits and no kidding how to avoid law enforcement. Our chief of police was there. He backed up everything this woman said. When I talked to the same police chief a couple years ago about the situation, he told me "you have a very narrow view of the law", when I asked why the laws don't apply to illegals.

Good to know you can count on your local "law enforcement"

I still can't figure out how come so many in law enforcement are standing down on this,somethings fishy.

I think you are right on this.As I said above there are too many police standing down on this for it to be just a coincidence, something isn't right.
