Tennessee Comptroller Says Lawmen "Frustrated" by Illegal Immigrant Situation
Richard Simms
August 7, 2007 - 11:00AM
A comprehensive report by Tennessee Comptroller John Morgan says that local law enforcement agencies are "frustrated at the lack of response from the federal government in picking up criminal unauthorized aliens for possible deportation..." That's just a small portion in a 28-page report Morgan's department prepared for the General Assembly. It outlines numerous issues with regard to problems associated with illegal immigrants. Click HERE to read the entire report.
Morgan writes, "The General Assembly may wish to consider encouraging the federal government to take a stronger role in this area including increasing the quotas of immigrants allowed to enter the United States, increased enforcement against undocumented workers and employers hiring unauthorized aliens, deportation of criminal aliens, and funding state and local public services for this population."

The U.S. legalizes more than 2 million people each year through either citizenship or green card provision
We grant 3,300 people citizenship each day
We grant 3,200 people green cards each day
We grant 240 people asylum each day
We have 9 different guest worker programs already in existance, 6 of which are unlimited (no caps) in the number of workers that can be brought in.
2/3 of green cards granted to aliens are issued to family members of individuals that are already here in order to provide for family unification.

This kind of statement concerns me.
I fear our government is pulling something - not sure what and we won't know until it is done. If they can come out and say, 'we need to enforce laws, blah, blah, blah, but we will then have to increase visas, they can just hand out visas to the ones here and how we would really know.
Maybe the illegals could take a vacation home, visas already in hand, then return as a 'legal' worker.
These politicians are not going to give up this easily - they just aren't. They have worked for 30 years to get this thing accomplished.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
