Texas sees drop in illegal border crossings

SAN ANTONIO — U.S. Border Patrol agents this year nabbed 34.5 percent fewer illegal border crossers in Texas and 38 percent fewer in New Mexico than in the previous year, officials said today.
The reason for that drop, Del Rio Border Patrol sector Chief Randy Hill said, is that the agency is focused on deterring migrants from crossing in the first place. More Border Patrol agents, federal efforts to prosecute those who cross illegally and state border security operations have helped, he said.

We just don't know do we. We have been lied to so much that we don't know the truth. Apprehenshions are down. Well they were two years ago too. Why? Because our laws were not being enforced.
