I'm not going to take a position on this, but I certainly understand the reasoning behind it. If these folks are mentally ill and it is determined by experts in the field that they will more than likely go on to commit sexual crimes on children, what are you supposed to do? Is releasing them uncured of their mental affliction really fair to society or the next child or woman they may go on to rape and maybe murder?

US immigration law requires they be deported, and that's what should be done.
