Thompson Outperforms McCain in Arizona

Arizona is the home state for John McCain, but Fred Thompson is the strongest GOP Presidential candidate in the state at this time.

A Rasmussen Reports telephone survey found that Thompson leads Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton by seventeen percentage points, 51% to 34%. Thompson will be formally announcing his candidacy this week.

Rudy Giuliani, who leads the polls for the Republican Presidential nomination, leads Clinton by eleven points, 49% to 38%. McCain has a ten-point edge over Clinton, 46% to 36%. With McCain as the GOP candidate, 15% of Arizona voters say they’d select a third party option. Mitt Romney is the weakest of the GOP candidates in Arizona but still leads Clinton by seven points, 46% to 39%.

In my view, McCain is about as popular as a well-dressed photographer with a telefoto lens at nude beach.

And Thomson is trouble, listen to him talk, globalization comes out of his mouth everytime he opens it and he is a member of CFR, If he becomes president we just as well turn our country over to the OBL'S and the democrates, he may not say he is for amnesty but he is for globalization and that is his hidden agenda, he's going to give all of Mexico the right to be here through the NAU so I guess it amounts to the same thing!! Amnesty for the whole country of Mexico!!

thompson is just another liberal hollywood fool. they just gave him a script where he plays a republican presidential canidate.... that's right! ACTING!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am not sold on Thompson; he has to do a lot more to convince me than to just oppose the flawed Senate amnesty bill which was really a no-brainer.

Here is the point: this poll provides further evidence that no matter how many tens of millions of dollars the OBL and ethnic pressure groups spend to try to spin and reframe the issue of illegal immigration, regular Americans are NOT fooled -- we want our borders secured and illegal immigration ended.
