SANFORD — Four men were arrested and 64.5 grams of cocaine seized Friday in an undercover drug operation, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Three of the four are in the country illegally and are being held on federal immigration detainers, Capt. B.N. Allen said.

The arrests followed an investigation that lasted about a month, he said. The street value of the cocaine seized was estimated at $13,500.

Three Sanford men were arrested. They are Jose Bustamante Guevara, 36, of the 400 block of Birch Street; Jose Pastor Lopez, 43, of the 400 block of Courtland Drive; and Justin Rodriguez Trejo, 22, of the 2900 block of Cornell Drive.

Guevara is charged with eight counts of trafficking in cocaine, four counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of maintaining a drug house and one count of possessing cocaine. Bail was set at $400,000.

Lopez is charged with three counts of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine. Bail was set at $200,000.

Trejo is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, selling and delivering marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $12,000.

Fernando Serrano Alferez , 43, of Durham, was charged by Lee County officers after he was found in possession of 7.5 grams of cocaine, Allen said, and by Durham lawmen who searched his residence.

Alferez is charged with possessing cocaine, possessing cocaine with intent to sell and deliver, trafficking in cocaine, and two counts each of maintaining a drug dwelling and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Alferez’s total bail was set at $211,000.

The Department of Homeland Security, which worked with investigators, say Alferez, Guevara and Lopez are in the country illegally, the release said.

A detainer has been placed on them, meaning that they can be held up to 48 business hours beyond the time when they may have been released, according to the American Immigration Council website.

of course they won't say but is this guy a DACA recipient or an anchor baby? He's the only one not on an immigration hold and I would like to know why.

I'm assuming he is a U.S. citizen and more than likely an anchor baby.
