Three people killed, five others wounded in bloody Juårez weekend

A 20-year old woman and two men were stabbed to death in separate incidents this weekend in Juårez, Chihuahua state officials said today.
The 20-year-old woman was discovered in the middle of the road, at Gen. Manuel Marín and Gen. Joel de la Cruz streets in the Revolución Mexicana neighborhood, a state police spokesperson said.

The body had several stab wounds on the chest and stomach.

In another incident, a man in his early 50s was found stabbed several times on the head, at Oso Polar and Santiago Troncoso streets, Eco 2000 neighborhood in Juárez, officials said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was discovered inside a building. No further evidence was located.

On Saturday night, another man died and five were seriously wounded after several gunmen opened fire, authorities said.

José Ángel Gutiérrez Gutiérrez, 47, was riddled with bullets on head, left cheek, and stomach.

The attack was reported at Aurora Boreal and Eclipse Norte, Ciudad Moderna neighborhood, authorities said.
