Thune says Bush's visit matters little
Thune says Bush's visit matters little
June 12, 2007
Washington (AP) Senator John Thune says a visit from the president hasn't swayed his stand on an immigration bill. The South Dakota Republican says he remains opposed to it. The president went to Capitol hill today to urge senators to support his compromise bill. Thune says Midwesterners may be skeptical about the bill could provide eventual citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants. He says there's a sense of fairness that those who follow the law shouldn't be put at a disadvantage to those who have come to the U-S illegally.

Want to hear something funny. Listening to C-Span caused Senator Thune's name to get suck in my head. I've been running around hearing the Senate clerk say, "Senator Thune". So I know how he voted. Or should I say, remember well.
Which one got stuck in your head?
