Many people are angry simply because our immigration laws are not enforced. An amnesty is granted, more illegals come, another amnesty is granted, more illegals come, on and on it goes. Where does it end?

How can our country, or any country for that matter, prosper when our so-called elected leaders let our laws go on unenforced?

We citizens are expected to follow the laws, why doesn't our federal government?

Their e-mails, calls and online comments seem to skyrocket every time The Oregonian publishes a story that mentions "Hispanic," "Latino," "Mexican" or "immigrant," regardless of whether the subject's citizenship, legal status or national origin is mentioned or relevant.
In your next article, why don't you include some demographics about the illegal aliens living in Oregon? I want to know where they are coming from and if they are being unjustly targeted. That's the only way to set people strait is with facts. Get it out there and inform people, if they are not Hisanic, Latino, or Mexican. Isn't that the whole purpose of the press is to be informative?

The public is very aware of the fact that the media has started omitting the subject's citizenship, legal status or national origin, when it involves an illegal alien. When you lie by omission in the media, what do you expect from readers? They wouldn't call you up, if they trusted that your reporting was forthcoming and accurate.

And the word "immigrant" has been used by the press, politicians, special interest groups... to describe illegal aliens so don't point that finger at the citizens that have to decode the dishonest message and decide for themselves, if the person is really an illegal alien.

A few people with a Pro-ILLEGAL Agenda are spamming a lot PRO-ILLEGAL propaganda in the comment section of the source article.
