    ERO officers arrested Marques Velasquez Feb. 16 in Queens, New York, pursuant to a final order of removal. He has been processed and is now in ERO detention pending removal.

    Houston man sentenced to 80 years in prison for multiple counts involving child pornography
    William Lee Niver, 49, of Houston, was sentenced Feb. 17 by U.S. District Judge Gray Miller to 360 months in prison for the sexual exploitation of a child, otherwise known as production of child pornography.

    Alfred Pabon, 49, was arrested at his residence in the Bronx, New York. On the morning of his arrest, he had admitted to law enforcement that he had used his account to copy and forward images and videos containing child pornography as recently as within the last month.

    ICE HSI arrests Los Angeles-area man on federal charges for advertising, distributing, and possessing child pornography
    Jerry Glen Moran Jr., 63, of Perris, was taken into custody without incident pending an arraignment in U.S. District Court. Moran is named in a four-count indictment handed down Feb. 8 charging him with one count of advertising child pornography, two counts of distributing child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.

    Joseph Edmond Cleveland, 25, of El Paso, Texas, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Janis to 15 months in prison. In handing down the sentence, Judge Jack noted an aggravating factor that Cleveland attempted to use his status as a serviceman to avoid detection.

    2 Illinois men charged with aggravated identity theft, making false claims to US citizenship, other related crimes
    Miguel Valencia-Sandoval, 33, of Champaign, Illinois, made his initial appearance in federal court in Urbana Thursday. The indictment charges Valencia-Sandoval with aggravated identity theft and making a false statement of U.S. citizenship in April 2012 on a U.S. passport application by allegedly using another person’s identity and stating he was a U.S. citizen when he was not.
