I don't think that you need to apologize for anything, but I do think that you are doing great with the smoking thing. Just think about all of the money you'll save. Now you'll have fun money for something else. We're rooting for you!

Good for you, Jaded. I quit two years ago and I have never felt better. You should be your old self in about three months. Hang in there!

Why bother going to Mexico on vacation? All I have to do is go to my local supermarket to be in Mexico.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I'm doing this cold turkey, no pills, patches, gums, hypnosis, nothing. Sometimes it feels like my brain is on pop rocks.

    Jaded,

Try hard candy and regular chewing gum. Brisk walks are good because they are a distraction. Keep your hands and mind busy. Take a long deep breath and let it out slowly. It's a relaxation technique.

Hey, I did it so I know you can!

I'll be rooting for you too. It took me 3 tries before I finally quit 6 years ago. It's hard but if you can quit things taste much better and you can breathe easier.
