Truck full of potentially explosive fertilizer stolen in AR
I accidently ran across the following article and found it very disturbing. Could this be a terroist act, or another Timothy McVeigh type? 51,000 pounds is a huge amount of fertilizer to steal, and I doubt it is getting used on crops.

Alarm out for missing truck with fertilizer
By Christine Green
Arkansas security officials reported information concerning a missing J&M Transport truck with a load of fertilizer on June 1. J&M is based in Cabot, Ark.
Randy McDaniel, 50, received a 51,000-pound load of urea fertilizer in Little Rock on May 25. McDaniel never reached the intended destination in Stuttgart, Ark., according to Highway ISAC and Mark Tabor of the Transportation Security Administration, who is based at Little Rock National Airport.
The fertilizer and vehicle are still missing. The driver has not made contact with his girlfriend or family members, officials said. They noted that former President Clinton is scheduled to arrive in Little Rock June 3.
Urea fertilizer can be used to make explosives.
The missing truck is a red 1996 Volvo with Arkansas plate F254068. It has a J&M Transport logo on the door, and a white trailer with Oklahoma plate 2106FB.

Truck found; driver and load of fertilizer still missing
06/07/2005 - 10:45:59 am
The truck reported missing in Arkansas last week has been found. But the load of fertilizer it was carrying and its driver are still missing, according to Arkansas law enforcement officials.
The Highway Information Sharing and Analysis Center issued a bulletin on June 1 stating that Randy McDaniel, a driver with J&M Transport, Cabot, AR, has been missing since late May.
McDaniel picked up a 51,000-pound load of Urea fertilizer in Little Rock, AR, on May 25 and never made it to his destination of Stuttgart, AR, which is less than an hour away.
The truck was located in North Little Rock, AR, by another employee of J&M Transport.
McDaniel and the fertilizer are still missing. McDaniel has not contacted his girlfriend or family members. The theft of the fertilizer is being investigated, but is believed to be a criminal matter by the local authorities.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Highway ISAC at (703) 838-1999.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

After seeing what a fertilizer bomb did in Oklahoma City this is some serious stuff. I'm surprised this wasn't all over the mainstream news, especially since the truck turned up empty with the driver missing. I don't know if the driver is involved, or a victim of foul play. If someone was up to no good they would most likely steal the fertilizer instead of buying large quantities, and drawing instant suspicion upon themselves.

If I remember correctly, J&M has had several trucks with fertalizer (and other bomb making materials) stolen in the past few years. Again, trucks never found or found with contents missing.
