I'm not a lawyer, but what I read of Posse Comitatus is about deputizing military by civilian police. If the President orders the military to guard the border, that should be legal.

The Reserves are just that. They are not a standing military.

Yes, of course it's legal. That's why we have a military to begin with. I knew we had Reserves in all of our military functions, I just never knew we had no active duty troops defending our nation. I'm totally distressed by this revelation.

Reservists can be utilized on a military command post to serve as back up support. They are cooks, office workers, IT, medics, mechanics, man the radios, many billets they can serve.

We already pay their paychecks for their 2 week per year detachment. They can also request an extension of duty.

Set up military command posts for our Active Duty on OUR Federal Land and allow them to utilize our Reservist's to fulfill their 2 week detachment.

Set up camp on the coyote and drug runner paths to assist ICE in reporting activity.
