Is Trump Wrong About A Border Wall? One Stunning Chart Has The Answer
Posted By Jacob Bojesson On 5:31 PM 03/26/2016
Several European countries have erected fences to keep migrants out, and, according to the numbers, every case appears to have a large impact.
Hungary was a popular pathway for refugees on their way to Germany during the fall. When the daily illegal border crossings were at 7,000 per day, Prime Minister Viktor Orban decided to erect a fence along the border to Serbia and Croatia.
The result speaks for itself:

When the fence went up Oct. 17, the influx went down to 870 from 6,353 only a day earlier. Illegal border crossing were steadily below 40 per day throughout the rest of the month. The number picked up slightly in February, after migrants destroyed part of the fence, but it remains in the low hundreds.
Another successful example is Macedonia — the first step on the Balkan route, which separates Greece from the rest of the EU. Macedonia had more than 60,000 migrants enter the country in January. The migrant influx was cut significantly, leaving tens of thousands stranded in Greece. The desperation among refugees led to clashes with Macedonian military in late February.
Germany’s rising anti-immigration party, Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD), proposed a fence along its border in March.
AfD leader Joerg Meuthen mentioned several examples where fences work, particularly in Spain, where it forces North African migrants to take a long detour to get to Europe.
“They have to go around the Mediterranean” to find a way in, Meuthen said at a rally, according to news agency AFP. “Yes, fences have an impact.”

Yes, of course walls and fences have impact. That's why everyone fences in their land, builds privacy fences around their yards and the latest and great notion: the gated-community. It's why the Vatican has a wall, a giant wall, a spectacular wall. When's the last time you heard of anyone migrating to the Vatican? Exactly.

But . . . but. . . Obama, Clinton and all their cronies told me walls and fences don't work and they would never lie.

They deceive telling the opposite of what is true. I've warned everyone that we are in our "Period of Irony and Opposites", and this election is proving this beyond any level I thought possible.
Just remember, "Period of Ironies and Opposites".
Example:
1. immigrants make contributions - no they don't, they suck us dry as a bone, there was a time when they did make contributions when we were an unsettled undeveloped low population nation, but we are not that any more, we are an over-developed, over-populated bankrupt mess so there is no contribution they make or can make
2. illegal aliens do jobs Americans won't do - no they don't, they steal jobs from Americans, depress American wages, breed population we don't need and sign up for welfare we can't afford
3. free trade is good for America - no it isn't, it's drained our industrial base, cost us tens of millions of good jobs we needed and still do, sucked our money supply out of the country, closed 60,000 factories, stolen our intellectual property, inventions, creativity, ingenuity, and patents, and deprived us of trillions in industrial and industrial-related investment and servicesA Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

I like that - "period of irony and opposites." I just call it Bizarro world. It's from my youth reading Superman comic books. Back in the days before video games, cell phones and 500 channels on TV.
In popular culture "Bizarro World" has come to mean a situation or setting which is weirdly inverted or opposite to expectations.

Bizarro World! I love that, too! The definition is exactly what I mean with my Period of Ironies and Opposites.
