Tulsa couple with U.S.-born daughters could be deported
Tulsa couple with U.S.-born daughters could be deported
Associated Press - July 15, 2007 4:05 PM ET
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A married couple who illegally immigrated to the US as teens could face deportation to Mexico, even though their four daughters were born in the US and have never been to their parents' homeland.
Wulfrano and Maria Portillo are both 31 years old. They separately crossed the border before they later married and had four daughters, who now are ages 6 to 12. The family lives in Broken Arrow.
The girls attend Union Public Schools in Tulsa and are considered US citizens.
Wulfrano Portillo works as a roofer and says he fears he won't be able to provide for his family if he and his wife are returned to Mexico. They say that if they are deported, they will take their children with them.
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper reported the Portillos to federal immigration officials last month after he found the family trying to fix a blown tire on a vehicle on a highway near Locust Grove.
Wulfrano Portillo is awaiting a date for immigration court. The worse punishment he and his wife would face would be deportation.

Deport away...
Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother

Wow!! Illegals who finally admit that they are wrong with no weeping and wailing about dreams being dashed, outrage over racism being to blame for their plight, and willing to take their children with them.......it's admirable!!!
As for his minor concern about not being able to support his family in Mexico? Well, he needn't worry about that either.......I'm sure they will do quite well living on proceeds from their liquidated assets and the bank account in Mexico they no doubt have filled with thousands saved for a rainy day.
The rainy day is here folks.......time to get out.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This is good, but as states, counties, and cities start enforcing these laws, there will be hundreds of stories like this. The msm and pro-illegal activists will jump on these stories for the sob story PR angle. It would be great if there could be a response in each instance.
For instance, this couple has four children. How much Federal and state money was shelled out for those four children in healthcare, housing, and education? How much was paid by this family in taxes, if any? These are questions that would be benficial to have answered, and those answers must be available in the system records.
Any good reporters in Tulsa?

I'm not even sure why we would need to know any of that until a law is put into place allowing seizure/sale of assets for what was paid out in public benefits by us, not paid in taxes by them, etc.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Everyone who feels sorry for these children can always contribute to a private fund to assist them in Mexico, and also all the other deported anchor babies. In fact the Ford Foundation has $10 billion they could use just for this purpose.

I FEEL SORRY FOR ALL CHILDREN WHO ARE BORN TO PARENTS WHO CANT ADEQUATELY SUPPORT THEM. LATINO CHILDREN ARE NO DIFFERENT.
THERE ARE PLENTY OF CHILDREN BORN TO AMERICAN PARENTS WHO ARE LIVING IN POVERTY. THATS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE HAVE KIDS WITHOUT CONSIDERING HOW THEY WILL FEED THEM.
HOW WILL THEY PAY FOR DIAPERS? HOW WILL THEY EDUCATE THEM? HOW WILL THEY HOUSE THEM?
IT AMAZES ME THAT SOME JUST DO NOT CONSIDER THE WELL BEING OF THEIR OWN CHILDREN BEFORE THEY ARE BORN.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Do you really believe they will be deported ? How many appeals do they have ?
My bet is they will never be deported it will just be quietly dropped.
