Tulsa's illegal immigration wreck
For reader, accident with apparent illegal alien crystallized city's changes

In our first Gut Check America vote, thousands of readers around the country rated illegal immigration as the issue of most concern for them. Among them was Gary Rutledge, a Tulsa, Okla., college professor who wrote about being involved in a traffic accident with an apparent illegal immigrant. Here is our report on what we found when we traveled to Tulsa to follow up on his story:

So this is what it has evolved into? A fine mess. Let it be known that many people of this country, concerned citizens, 20 yrs ago demanded from their elected officials that something be done concerning illegal immigration. Laws were passed. They were not enforced. Corruption and greed trampled our laws. Laws that our elected officials never enforced or intended to enforce.

Know that those responsible for not enforcing those laws are still present and still thumb their nose at the American people. Let history record the names. Stand up and let our children, and the generations to come, know that we did participate, we did with great intentions elect men and women who did swear to uphold the laws of our land, and to protect our Constitution.

Beware anarchist and treasonous vermin, history will record your names. Know that claiming good intentions or just foolish folley will not clear your participation in such a disreguard for the laws of this land. Ignorance may be bliss, but it will not excuse those short of mental retardation of their complicity in this travesty of justice.

This is an excellent article. It demostrates that Americans are at the end of their ropes and this needs to stop. These illegals have no interest in being American, they need to be deported asap. ALL OF THEM.

The city started its first programs to teach non-English speakers just five years ago, and now has 6,000 students in remedial English language classes, said Nilda Reyes, director of equity and diversity for Tulsa schools.

The sole mission of Newcomer International School, which opened in 2004, is to help its students — about 250 at any given time — become proficient in English so they can make a transition to mainstream classes. The school district also is making plans to expand remedial English teaching in higher grades, and is offering Spanish courses to teachers and looking to hire additional bilingual staff.

This what will happen in those communities that continues to let the invasion take place! Let's see how long until Tulsa's school scores start sinking like the Titantic, graduation rates start falling, and budget starts skyrocketing!!
