Two Chihuahua state investigators, Juárez police officer slain

A pair of Chihuahua state investigators were killed this morning and a Juárez police officer was slain Tuesday night in separate incidents that follow the delivery on Saturday of a new hit list naming members of the Juárez police force.
Claudia Tovar Carreon, 30, and Gabriel Padilla Perez, 35, were shot at about 9 a.m. today in front of a what is believed to be their home on Valle de las Torres street, state police said. Both were members of the of the State Investigation Agency.

Tovar Carreon died on a sidewalk in front of the home and Padilla Perez died at the entrance of the home. Investigators located 68 bullet casings, police said.

At 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Juárez police officer Gustavo Hernandez Parra, who was in street clothes, was killed by multiple gunshots in downtown
