Two-Month I.C.E. Sting Nabs 76 Gang Members in Utah
October 03, 2009
LOGAN, Utah — A two-month-long operation led by federal authorities has netted the arrests of 76 people with alleged gang ties across Utah.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Virginia Kice says the operation targeted Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden and St. George before ending this week.
Thirty-six of the suspects are facing federal or state criminal prosecution on charges ranging from re-entry after deportation to murder and drug possession.
The remaining 40 are foreign nationals who are being processed for deportation.
The arrests were the latest under the federal agency's nationwide anti-gang "Operation Community Shield."
Since the operation began in 2005, more than 13,000 gang members have been arrested nationwide.
The operation is conducted in conjunction with local and state authorities.

How many of those that weren't gang members did they aid and abet?

I could round up more than that here in Salt Lake and in less time. All you have to do is watch them drive around in $60,000 dollar cars, with cell phones hanging off their ears and tatto's all over their bodies. Its not hard to find them.

This dog and pony show doesn't matter. With our wide open border and Napolitano pulling personnel off the southern border all arrestees deported will be back by suppertime. Others including gang members with prior criminal records including rape and child molestation will be granted amnesty. What a joke......

Border Patrol Will Not Pull Agents Off Mexican Border
Border Patrol Will Not Pull Agents Off Mexican Border-
Written by American Border Patrol
Sunday, 27 September 2009 20:01
Friday morning the Sierra Vista Herald reported that the number of U.S. Border Patrol agents deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border would be cut.
The report was unequivocal and quoted Lloyd Easterling, acting media director for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Easterling said the same thing to CNSNews.com earlier in the week.
Late Friday afternoon, a story popped up on the Arizona Daily Star's Web page saying that there would be no decrease in agents along the southern border. Matt Chandler, acting DHS press secretary, told the Star that earlier reports didn't reflect the most current information.
Critics believe DHS was responding to public feedback. "I suspect Chandler's 'most current information' was the negative reaction DHS got to the news that they were pulling agents off the border," said Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol, a non-governmental organization based on the border in Arizona. "If DHS finished the border fence they could pull thousands of agents off the southern border, not just a few hundred," he added.
