Immigration agents found more than a dozen people inside a Fort Bend County home that has been linked to a human smuggling ring, officials said on Friday.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said 14 people were being held against their will on Wednesday at the home in the 6200 block of Paloma.

Deputies later found Miguel Ramirez-Rangel, 41, and Eustorgio Penaloza-Lopez, 33, hiding in a wooded area near the home.

They were charged with aggravated kidnapping and are being held in the Fort Bend County Jail. An immigration hold has been placed on them, deputies said.
