TYLER, Texas (AP) - Twenty people pleaded guilty to providing false Social Security numbers to Pilgrim's Pride Corporation to get a job.

U.S. Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory said Thursday that the 20, who were from the Mt. Pleasant area, pleaded guilty to misuse of Social Security numbers.

Each defendant's sentence was equal to time already served. They were released to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Pilgrim's Pride is the nation's largest chicken producer. Federal agents raided plants in five states in April as part of an identity theft investigation.
