Border Patrol agents rescue 15 illegal immigrants

HIDALGO—U.S. Border Patrol agents, police officers and firefighters rescued 15 illegal immigrants who were trying to cross the settling basin early Monday morning.

During their patrol, Border agents saw a group of people struggling to stay afloat in the basin. Police and firefighters helped Border Patrol get the illegal immigrants out of the water. Border Patrol then processed the immigrants for illegal entry into the United States.
