VALLEYWIDE, Texas - A family of three were attacked by bees.

Border patrol agents came across a Salvadoran mother, her teen daughter and ten year old son as a large swarm of bees attacked them near the Rio Grande.

Responding agents used fire extinguishers to flush out the bees and bring all three to safety.

An agent assigned to the RGV Mobile Response Team also suffered multiple bee stings.

The family and agent were taken to the hospital.
