FALFURRIAS — U.S. Border Patrol agents Saturday seized more than 7,200 pounds of marijuana, estimated to be worth $6 million, at the Falfurrias station, according to a news release.
A Border Patrol canine alerted agents to the drugs, which were hidden inside of two tractor trailers, according to the report.
One load, of more than 1,500 pounds, was hidden in boxes of merchandise and the other, which weighed more than 5,600 pounds, was concealed in a hidden compartment.
The Drug Enforcement Administration took custody of the drivers, the marijuana and the vehicles.
