    Eight Suspected Illegals Captured

    CORPUS CHRISTI - Eight suspected illegals were captured Saturday morning at the bus station downtown.

    Corpus Christi police assisted Border Patrol in the search.

    Authorities said the eight men, who are from Mexico, were transported to the bus station Saturday after being cleaned off and dressed up.

    Border Patrol responded to the call after being tipped off shortly after. All eight tried to hide from authorities, but were eventually captured by Corpus Christi police.

    The men will likely be deported.

    Borders are not secure. Why aren't the bus companies checking for legal residence status with ids?

    Don't ride public transportation if you can forgo the trip.
