TX High School Students Made to Recite Mexican National Anth
Blaze Exclusive: TX High School Students Made to Recite Mexican National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance
Posted on October 17, 2011 at 8:56am by Madeleine Morgenstern
Students in a Texas public high school were made to stand up and recite the Mexican national anthem and Mexican pledge of allegiance as part of a Spanish class assignment, but the school district maintains there was nothing wrong with the lesson.
It happened last month in an intermediate Spanish class at Achieve Early College High School in McAllen, Texas — a city located about 10 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.
Wearing red, white and green, students had to memorize the Mexican anthem and pledge and stand up and recite them in individually in front of the class.

That didn’t go over well with sophomore Brenda Brinsdon. The 15-year-old sat down and refused to participate. She also caught it all on video:

How about teaching them the pledge to this country and this countries national anthem. If they want to learn some third world anthem let them go listen to it on their Ipods. OUR schools teach AMERICAN history and honor. NOT some other countries. Suspend the teacher until that person learns what country butters her bread.

Since the teacher was raised in Mexico and loves Mexico so much I may wonder if she is not an ILLEGAL. A couple of years ago the Dallas ISD fired many Citizen teachers and at the same time hired non citizen teachers for their spanish only bilingual program, some were actually ILLEGALS. But this is Texas and Texas Toast wants to furnish education to as many ILLEGALS as possible.

I would be LIVID if any teacher required this of my kids. It has absolutely nothing to do with "learning a different culture" and all to do with pushing the mexican agenda.

This is not Perry’s fault. The blame belongs on the shoulders of each and every Texan there; if they gave a damn about Texas sovereignty they would be up at that school making sure this treason never happens again. I guess they forgot the Alamo!
