    Illegal Immigrants to be Shipped through Presidio

    Presidio, TX - Beginning November first, two busloads of illegal immigrants will be transferred to Presidio's point of entry each day.

    According to Marfa border patrol officials, that works out to about 100 immigrants a day.

    The alien transfer and exit program will send illegals from Tucson and they will be sent to Mexico through Presidio's border crossing.

    The city of Ojinaga is said to be prepared for the new immigrants with a new shelter.

    The border patrol says the program is designed to break the smuggling cycle between aliens and organized smugglers, while detractors say it could create smuggling operations.
