Police: Stolen Trucks Carrying Illegal Immigrants, Marijuana
Mon Dec 3, 7:54 PM ET

Two trucks stopped by the Dilley Police Department early Monday morning were carrying much more than illegal immigrants, police said.

When police stopped the two stolen pickup trucks in Frio County, a group of immigrants scattered and ran, leaving behind about 200 pounds of marijuana, Dilley Police Chief Armando Romo said.

Police caught two immigrants, who they believe were a total of ten people in the vehicles, after search dogs were brought into the pursuit.

The two in custody may face charges of felony drug possession and auto theft.
