UTB and DHS headed back to court
School alleges agency violated border fence agreement
Posted: Friday, June 20, 2008 at 7:54 a.m.
The Department of Homeland Security and the University of Texas at Brownsville-Texas Southmost College are headed back to court over the border fence.
The two had reached a courtroom agreement in March regarding access to the university's land for the purposes of surveying.
But in a motion filed on Thursday, UTB claims that Homeland Security violated that agreement and intends to seize land needed for the school's growth.
“Instead of working under these dictates of the order, they chose to move forward with their original plan to construct the fence in the exact same location and manner as previously announced, and to move to seize our land for a token payment,â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

University of Texas
The University of Texas has become the public defender and sue happy guardians of illegal aliens. They are filing lawsuits trying to prevent the border fence and jumping in lawsuits that pay off big for them.
Wrongful death of Daniel Romero-Cruz being one.
Everyone needs to be aware of how the University of Texas is battling for illegal aliens. Especially the UT Law School's immigration clinic. They joined the ACLU to sue the federal government over the Hutto detention center.

Texans need to threaten to pull federal and state funding for this university unless they stand with the American People and our national security.

From University of Texas at Brownsville website:
For Immediate Release
UTB/TSC asks court to enforce agreed order
BROWNSVILLE, TX – JUNE 19, 2008- Attorneys representing The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College and The University of Texas System Board of Regents filed a motion today to compel the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to comply with the provisions of a previous federal court order.
The motion was filed in U.S. District Court in Brownsville.
In March 2008, Brownsville Federal Judge Andrew Hanen dismissed a lawsuit against the university after an agreement was reached with DHS regarding access to University property.
That order required DHS to conduct a joint assessment with UTB/TSC and the UT System to study alternatives to a physical barrier in the campus area, to take account of UTB/TSC’s “unique status as an institution of higher educationâ€"Distrust and caution are the parents of security."

Since the University of Texas at Brownsville is a state college of Texas, how can they sue? Why doesn't the State of Texas have file suit?
Prior to the hearing, the University and the Department of Justice entered into an agreed order which allowed access to the property for surveying, but required joint assessments to determine alternatives to a fence, as well as investigations to minimize the impact of any tactical infrastructure on the environment, culture, commerce, and quality of life.
"minimize the impact of any tactical infrastructure on the environment, culture, commerce, and quality of life."
Safery is the purpose of a tactical infrastructure and increases the quality of life.
What are they referring to by college commerce? Transporting and selling food, books and supplies at the college? Could 'commerce' also include illegal drug sales?
Is crossing the border, without border checks or permission, in both directions a normal occurance at the college?
Whar are the Mexican legal immigrant and illegal alien populations of the school?
How much federal funding and grants does the school get?--Deny it.
How many students receive federal student loans? Deny them."Distrust and caution are the parents of security."

I wish we had some leaders with some bollocks that would just build the fence north of any one that fought the building of the fence then we would see how many chose to sue.
We can't deport them all ? Just think of the fun we could have trying!
