Of course not.

Look, I'm not saying that the VB doesn't have some good points-or that real Belgians shouldn't vote for them-I'm just saying that I don't think separatism or secessionism-in terms of cohesive nation-states, not unconstitutional supranational entities-is something that conservatives should get behind at the present moment.

The last time I checked there was still a majority of the American public in favor of enforcing our borders and protecting America's nationhood, although you'd never know it from this past election cycle's results.

I don't want to get into a broader debate about what constitutes federalism, or the morality of what happened in this country a century and a half ago-I know that me and CG will never agree on those issues-I'm just trying to convey my point of view, which is that as bad as things are now-and I'm not arguing that we aren't in parlous times-I don't think we should resign ourselves to balkanization.

I just find it funny that someone like Lincoln willing to shed oceans of American blood, supposedly to preserve the nonexistent "sanctity" of an artificial union, was nevertheless so unimpressed with the founding documents that he was willing to blatantly disregard Art. IV, Sec. 3 to encourage W. Virginia to separate from Viriginia againsr her consent. I find that many anti-secessionists are equally subjective with their principles. So he trashes the Declaration of Independence to STOP the lawful secession of the Confederate states, then trashes the Constitution to ENCOURAGE the secession of part of a state from the greater state. But you won't hear Lincoln's multiple crimes against the People through BLATANT suspension of rights and violations of the Constitution being taught in our schools. Nope, instead you get indoctrination in the cult of Lincoln. No wonder this country is so screwed up and people are so willing to surrender their sacred rights, INCLUDING the right to secession.

I don't believe Crockett or I were talking about secession happening tomorrow we were speaking in terms of if all else fails.

The Majority may want no amnesty or open borders but seems to me they are willing to sit back and let it happen rather than take the initiative to exert themselves to save this country, their country.If we lost this fight,rather than have no reprsentation in this country at all I would rather see this happen and I would fight for it, but the fight is still on as we are Americans and are not known for giving up so easy. Infact I believe people would start pulling out those weapons we hold onto so fiercely, if you want to see all hell break lose let this government try to take the weapons from Amereicans.No this fight is far from over, but it is also good to know we always have other opportunities and options. So the fight goes on and we had better make it good soon and in the direction we want, or we will have to use those other options!!
