NEW YORK: The last day of March netted US Customs and Border Protection officers more than $2 million of methamphetamines.

According to CBP, authorities with the agency’s Office of Field Operations at the Pharr International Bridge in Hidalgo, Texas, arrested a 43-year-old man from Reynosa attempting to transport $2,330,000 worth of alleged meth.

The man had pulled up to the bridge in a 1989 Kenworth tractor-trailer and given officers a commercial manifest for cactus and squash.

While inspecting the vehicle, officers found 138 packages of alleged meth hidden in a produce shipment.

Officers arrested the man and released him into the custody of Homeland Security Investigations special agents.
