Activists said the old policy had been in place for 15 years and resulted in poor immigrants being stuck in detention solely because of their poverty.
Ask poor Americans about being stuck in jail because they can't make bond because of their "poverty". Poor people shouldn't take out on long journeys they can't afford to enter a foreign country in violation of that country's US immigration law. By the way how much did they pay the coyotes, smugglers and cartels for that journey? It seems like they can come up with thousands of dollars for criminal activity but can't pay a legal bond when they're caught breaking the law?

The fact of the matter is these people think like criminals, whine like criminals and act like criminals, because they are criminals. Lock 'em u and throw away the key.
