PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. --
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors have agreed to send a letter to the House of Representatives’ subcommittee on immigration requesting a subpoena of Immigration & Customs Enforcement on the whereabouts of all the criminal illegal immigrants processed through the 287 (g) program.

In November, the county made a Freedom of Information Act request to the U.S Department of Homeland Security for more information on Carlos Martinelly Montano, an illegal immigrant with two drunk driving convictions that is being charged with felony murder, involuntary manslaughter and drunken driving in the death of a Benedictine nun last summer. They also requested the status of criminal illegal immigrants processed through the county's 287 (g) program in another FOIA request.

ICE has indicated they will respond to the Montano request on Feb. 14 but not to the county's second request.

A Prince William grand jury indicted Montano in October after the Aug. 1 crash in Bristow that killed Sister Denise Mosier.

Police said Montano, 23, crashed his car head-on into a car carrying three Benedictine sisters on Aug. 1. Mosier died from her injuries and the two other women, Charlotte Lange, 75, and Connie Ruth Lupton, 70, were seriously injured.

Montano is set to stand trial in Prince William Circuit Court on March 28.
