Thread: Voter fraud by illegal aliens ignored by government and medi

I remember a few years ago, when a candidate named Tan Nguyen was challenging Democratic Representative Loretta Sanchez for her House seat. A friend of Tan's campaign, without Tan's knowledge, sent out 14,000 mailings to "new arrivals" in Sanchez' district.

These fliers that were mailed had one simple message: If you can legally do so, then please exercise your rights and privileges and go ahead and vote. However, if you're not eligible to vote, the US Government has recently developed a system to identify illegal voters, and you will be prosecuted. (Not really true, but the whole purpose of the fliers was to discourage illegal voting. Tan had a fair chance of winning against Sanchez if the illegal votes could be nullified).

The Mainstream News Media swarmed all over this story, calling it an outrage. They tried to portray it as a story that "immigrants were being discriminated against". And that "there was some kind of implicit threat contained in the letter". Governator Arnold, who had not yet had his reputation tarnished, called it a "hate crime".

Just how "over-the-top" can they possibly get? Sheesh.

Secretary of State Bruce McPherson, who was presumably pressured by all kinds of liberal groups, took action. He sent out 14,000 mailings of his own to these same "new arrivals" to Sanchez' district. He began by saying please disregard the previous mailing you have received. Then he advised these 14,000 that all the identification that you need in order to vote is a utility bill or a bank statement! And he sent these mailings at American taxpayer's expense!

I was incensed when I first learned this. I sent a letter to McPherson, saying that I don't approve of my taxpayer dollars being spent for such an unnecessary action. Then I gave my reasons: the first mailing encouraged legal voting, and gave important, pertinent, legal information. But the second mailing actually encouraged fraudulent voters to break the law!

If I remember right, Sanchez defeated Nguyen by around 12,000 votes, which is within the margin of error of 14,000.

I'm so shocked that people don't care that much about voter fraud.
