Mexican man admits re-entering U.S. illegally

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Mexican man pleaded guilty Monday in federal court to illegally re-entering the country after being deported, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

Saul Guijon-Ortiz, 34, admitted that he had been convicted of possession of drugs with intent to distribute in Georgia and deported in 2008, a news release states.

In April, Guijon-Ortiz was in a car stopped by Kanawha County sheriff's deputies, according to the news release.
He faces up to 20 years in prison when sentenced by U.S. District Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr. on April 2.
