Border patrol agents seize 115 pounds of pot

LYNDEN, Wash. - Border Patrol agents near Lynden have arrested three people and seized 115 pounds of marijuana.

Blaine Sector Border Patrol agents foudn two duffle bags containing 115 pounds of what was thought to be "BC Bud."

The arrests came early Monday after the agents were alerted to the presence of individuals along East Boundary Road. Arriving officers noticed foot tracks across the Canadian border and found three people hiding in the brush, along with two duffel bags of pot.

The marijuana and all three suspects were taken to the Lynden Border Patrol station for further investigation.

According to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, between October of 2007 and June 2008, Blaine Sector Border Patrol agents have seized 2,106 pounds of marijuana.
