GeorgiaPeach, the $25 billion was the cost of the broad-based immigration reform bill that became part of the DACA deal, it was funding for the President's 70 point plan to fix and fund our immigration system, included tens of thousands of new employees to enforce the law and all their expenses and operating requirements, new software programs to track and deport visa overstays, employee verification system like E-verify or something similar, it included funding for 10,000 to 15,000 new ICE agents, 5,000 more Border Patrol Agents, 1,000 immigration prosecutors and 500 more immigration judges plus all their support personnel, equipment, real estate, and services. The wall was a major portion of that, but probably around 10 to 11 billion of it. I think it included the repair, replacement and installation of 1100 miles of barriers, fence, wall, roads, and other border security measures. The $5 billion is 2 years of $2.5 billion per year, $1.6 billion for actual wall, fence, barrier and $900 million that could be used either for in whole or in part for additional barrier expense or other border security measures.

The actual wall funding needed for FY 2019 is $1.6 billion. There's $1.3 billion in the proposed budget now for "fencing". The CR maintained that, but didn't approve any expenditures until after the full remainder of the budget was finalized. There were other issues the House and Senate versions of the appropriations bill that needed to be worked out to finalize it, unrelated to to border wall funding.

The House Freedom Caucus told Trump they could get him the $1.6 billion versus the $1.3 billion plus the flex funds of $900 million and get him at least 2 years worth so we wouldn't be in this boat again during 2020 over the border wall, fence, barriers. "We have your back, Mr. President". "The American people have your back." -- Mark Meadows.

All of this fiasco, so the House could have a vote on the record to prove Nancy Pelosi lied about Republicans in the House not supporting Trump's Wall, because they do support Trump's Wall or some version of it. They proved that with a big vote and it was rejected by the Senate as they knew it would be.

Everyone is gone for the holidays at home with their families enjoying our most important holiday, tradition, celebration in our country, no one is answering their phones in Congress, no one is reading emails or faxes, because no one is there, everyone is home celebrating this holiday as they should be, except .... our dear President who is Home Alone in the White House, his family all together in .... Florida ..... waiting for the American people to "have his back" over $300 million of wall funding.

Like I said, this isn't a fight, it's suicide.
