Pickup towing trailer full of illegal entrants crashes, leaves scene
ARIZONA DAILY STAR
Authorities were searching Wednesday morning for a Ford pickup truck that crashed on the city's Southwest Side while towing a horse trailer filled with illegal entrants.
The incident started this morning when a U.S. Border Patrol agents was following a Ford pickup truck pulling the trailer near Ryan Air Field, west of Tucson on Arizona 86. The driver of the pickup started to weave in traffic and the agent backed off, agency officials said.
The driver of the pickup crashed about 8:30 a.m. into a light pole near West Ajo Way and South Mission Road. The trailer had been unhitched and the pickup truck was gone.
Agents found 42 people inside the horse trailer, 12 of them had minor injuries and were sent to a hospital. The light pole fell on another pickup truck but the driver was not injured.
Authorities Wednesday said they were looking for a red and gold Ford pickup truck.

It was a horse trailer. Some witnesses thought there were more like 60 people on board.
