Why do we Tolerate Mexican Troop Incursions?

The men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol guarding the Southern land border come into constant contact with drug and human smugglers, criminals and migrants. Every so often, they even encounter Mexican military personnel making unauthorized incursions across the border into the United States.

The most recent Mexican military incursion occurred last week on the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation in Arizona. According to reports, the Mexican soldiers crossed the border in a military vehicle and held a Border Patrol agent at gunpoint before escaping back to Mexico.

While the agent who was temporarily detained by the Mexican soldiers was not injured, there is no question that this incident could have ended differently -- especially when the soldiers and agent were armed, and backup was on its way to assist the officer. Nonetheless, this incident raises serious questions about the presence and activities of the Mexican military on the border.

A State Department spokesman, responding to the incursion in Arizona, said the incident stemmed from a “momentary misunderstanding.â€

Mr.Hunter that is a very good question . Could the answer lay with our present President ?

The Mexican military knows that the US is not going to do anything to provoke them, as we are already spread thin throughout the world.
I wonder if part of it is the Mex. don't really want to go after drug cartels and smugglers (too dangerous and perhaps they pay well) so to have a little fun and perhaps create a diversion, they harass our border patrol.

there are people out there that have such a problem with FENCES. What is wrong with a fence along the border? And if there are sensitive areas such as wildlife areas then work around it another way. We have the MEANS.

And as "zeezil " has a picture of the whitehouse fence. TRY GETTING OVER THAT ONE!

And American neighborhoods have fences in their yards as well as these elite areas and their electronic fences and spy cams. Many of these elite want us all to live,work,and play together BUT THEY distance themselves from all us working class people.

That is my opinion..........protect our borders
