As I have maintained, Trumps immigration solutions are everything to me when supporting him as a candidate. With respect to paying for the wall, I have wrote in the past we, the (US) should pay for it and just get it done. We as a country waste so much money on so many other garbage ideas that this one would save the country countless of billions of dollars each year from the adverse effects of drug use in this country (providing the wall had a material impact on the illegal flow of drugs into the country). Having the US pay for it would guarantee its construction and completion while leaving the more important issue (the actual construction of the wall) in tact. I have no tolerance for any back pedaling on the illegal immigration issue.

We can pay for it and be reimbursed by Mexico through the many different ways that have been offered up here and elsewhere. We've already wasted billions on cameras that didn't work, fencing they can climb over in 2 seconds carrying a huge backpack of marijuana, ICE that can't get it done, Border Patrol that's told not to get it done, etc., etc., etc.

joe s is right. We build the wall and at some point Mexico will pay for it. Trump will make Mexico pay for it. It's his Number One Goal. So everyone needs to get on board with the wall, enforcing our laws, deporting all illegal aliens, and pausing all immigration for at least 10 to 20 years until our country can recover and be back on top again .... in "EVERYTHING".

We're gonna win, win, win, win and win some more.

We have all talk, no action politicians who have hurt our country, but when we have all talk, no action citizens, we lose our country.

Lets take it back right here, right now and fight for it with words and actions, with money and spirit, and with that all so famous American Ingenuity.

LETS GO AMERICA! IT'S TIME FOR ACTION!

    VOTE TRUMP!

    RYAN'S GOTTA GO!

    SCOTT BROWN FOR VP!

Filemon Vela is a nasty, low-life pervert.

Brownsville is over-run with illegal aliens. Tell me why in the world a Congressman representing Brownsville would say such a thing about a wall that would stop illegal immigration into Texas? I'll tell you. All these nut-jobs who support illegal immigration and don't want any real action implemented to stop it are on the take with the drug cartels behind it.

Anyone got a better explanation, I'm all ears.

Get rid of him, Brownsville. He's selling you out every single day he's in the US Congress. In fact, I'd run him out of Texas if I were you.

Here are my thoughts on how President Donald Trump can discourage illegal immigration and reduce the cost of building the wall at the same time. He can ask congress to pass two laws:

    1) Illegal immigration is a criminal offense that is punishable up to six months in jail. Of course this does not apply to minors.

    2) Every day that any illegal immigrant volunteers to help build the border fence and border wall will have their prison sentence reduced by six days. They will not be paid.

Illegal immigrants who want to be free sooner will help to build the wall. Immigrants who do not help build the border fence will face 180 days in prison, but those that do help build the fence will serve 30 days in prison.

After the fence is build, this “chain gang” would build a “wall” made from the local natural materials. Villages in Mexico build the walls for their houses using the local material on the land such as rocks and clay. Illegal immigrants who volunteer to help build the wall can use the materials that they find to construct it.

The immigrants will live in "tent cities" near their work site, and they will help construct the tent cities also. Having television images of illegal immigrants working on the wall will help discourage a lot of foreigners thinking about breaking into the United States. The cost of building the wall and the fence will drop because of the free labor. Their punishment will be cheaper since their sentence will be dropped from six months to one month.

I like your attitude, but we need good high tech walls that require better skills then provide by illegal immigrants. If illegal immigrants are building our walls, there is also a good possibility that they would fool with the walls to make them penetrable by other illegals.

Working is a privilege in prisons and also requires mobility, something that illegals cannot be trusted with in jail. No parole for illegals either, they would just run back across the border.

Thanks for your comments Pkskyali. The company contracted to build the fence and wall would have inspectors to verify that they were being constructed correctly. If it appears that one of the prisoners is sabotaging the project, they have the authority to send him back to the regular prison without any reduction in his prison sentence.

There would be technicians from the company to install any high tech equipment. All of them would be United States citizens.

They will not be able to "run" across the border. Some of them will be enclosed in the "tent city" making bricks for the wall. Everyone outside of the city will be wearing a ball-in-chains or tethered to a post in the ground.

After spending 30 days in the hot sun, from early morning to night time, I do not believe we will see a lot of returning illegal immigrants. Most of them would not want to go through that experience again. And even if they do, they will have a wall and two fences to deal with. Each time we catch them in the United States illegally, their prison sentence will double the previous sentence. One year, two years, four years, more??? Yes, I know, I am wicked.

Again, I'm sure we all appreciate your attitude, but try to keep on the practical end of solutions. Avoid indulging yourself in fantasy, no matter how gratifying it might be to all of us.

Ending illegal immigration and removing illegal immigrants has got to happen and not just because it is an aggravation. Illegal immigration is not just an aggravation, it is a very real threat, not just to this country, but to all freedom loving peoples and their nations everywhere.

    Be serious.

Jeb Bush: Donald Trump's supporters will feel 'betrayed'

    By Rachel Chason, CNN

Updated 3:13 PM ET, Mon July 11, 2016

(CNN)Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush predicted Monday that Donald Trump's supporters will feel "betrayed" when his campaign promises fail to become reality.

"I think people are really going to feel betrayed,"Bush told MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace of his former 2016 rival. "There isn't going to be a wall built. And Mexico's not going to pay for it. And there's not going to be a ban on Muslims."

Trump's former rival -- who has said he will not vote for Trump and does not plan to attend the Republican National Convention -- said the presumptive nominee is living in an "alternate universe that he created."

"People are going to be deeply frustrated and the divides will grow in our country," Bush said, in his first public remarks since Trump become the GOP's presumptive nominee.

Bush gave Trump credit in one area: his understanding of the media.

"He's a master at understanding how the media works -- more than anybody I've ever seen in politics," Bush said. "Kudos (to) him for kind of creating the environment and then manipulating the environment."

Trump has not shied away from Bush's past criticism, telling supporters at a rally in June that he wasn't afraid of efforts among Republicans -- which he accused Bush of leading -- to deny him the nomination at the convention in Cleveland.

"I love competition like that," Trump said. "I love it."
