These Hispanic activist groups are aiding and abetting ILLEGALS pure and simple so why should they be surprised that they are getting hate mail?
I have heard the spokespeople for CARECEN, MALDEF and CHIRLAC LA RZAZ ACLU etc on Spanish television...know what they call the minutemen? RACISTS!
They know damn well they have no legal right to be here so all they can do is use the RACE card. This is why I hate the Democratic Party although the Republicans under BUSH are not much better. Sucking up to ILLEGALS!

Found this one today. Sounds like they are a political hack pushing the guest worker program. They can't defend the indefensible but yet they throw up their hands in surrender to the problem. The only solution is legalize. I'm not surprised the author didn't disclose their name.

Two wrongs aren't right
No excuse for ugliness, prejudice, threats to Latinos
The wreck that killed Gastonia teacher Scott Gardner in July shouldn't have happened. It was a tragic loss of a good life.
But it's just as wrong to let anger and frustration at that crash -- and the fact it involved an illegal immigrant -- justify hatred, prejudice or violence against Latinos in North Carolina.
Since Mr. Gardner's death, Latino advocacy and religious groups have received harassing phone calls, e-mails and letters. One warned, "Go home while you still can."
There's no excuse for that. It shows precisely why Congress urgently needs to approve a fair, federal immigration policy -- and fund resources to enforce it -- this session.
Mr. Gardner died on the way to a family vacation when his car was struck by a truck driven by Ramiro Gallegos, an illegal Mexican immigrant now facing his fifth impaired driving charge in five years. An overwhelmed, underfunded state court system wrongly put Ramiro Gallegos back behind the wheel.
The tragedy also focused public attention on the ineffectiveness of federal immigration laws. It spurred reactions from politicians like Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., of Charlotte, who proposed legislation that would, among other things, put deportation in the hands of local police and raise fines against employers who hire illegal immigrants.
Mr. Gardner's death also tapped into a vein of deep-seated fear and resentment at the changes immigration has brought to North Carolina's landscape. Consider:
• North Carolina's Latino population exploded from 1990 to 2000, increasing by 394 percent. More than 378,000 Latinos now live here, according to the census.
• The state is home to an estimated 350,000 illegal immigrants, the eighth highest number in the nation. Not all of them are Latinos, but the majority are.
Those changes impose distinct challenges of language, housing and education. Anger and fear won't help. Rather, the United States must resolve how to fairly deal with a flood of immigrant families who come here seeking jobs.
President Bush proposed a guest worker program last fall that serves as a satisfactory starting place. Another measure, sponsored by Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Edward Kennedy, D-Mass, would provide a path to citizenship.
What we can't do is slam the door and say "go home." It won't work.
Washington, take heed: Inaction lets public resentment mount. Foot-dragging and posturing on immigration reform need to stop.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Ho Hum, there is 'no excuse' for hate mail and so forth. I think they're telling that to the wrong people. When illegals and aiders and abettors of illegals attempt to nullify the first amendment rights of citizens through invective and violence, they should be receiving more than plenty of mail...a heartfelt ourpouring of anger from the citizens of this great country.
So now still another illegal alien has killed yet another fine American so take the well deserved heat and shut up.
