Lawsuit filed against company, driver in fatal Ramona crash

EL CAJON -- The parents of a Ramona woman killed when a man whom authorities say is an illegal immigrant with prior drunken driving convictions collided head-on with her car have filed a lawsuit against the man and the company for which he worked.

Filed Dec. 11 in the Superior Court in El Cajon, the lawsuit seeks an unspecified amount of money in damages from Rafael Ramirez Perez, 22, MK Concrete and its owner, Mark Kackstetter, in connection with the crash that claimed the life of Amy Marie Kortlang, 22.

I agree Hawkeye, Bush has his own agenda and seems resolved to stick to it no matter how many people are harmed. The above video shows the outrageousness of the current status of the Illegal Alien crisis. My heart goes out to all the victims and their loved ones. I pray that they find peace.

I wonder if he will ever address these deaths? And smirking while he does so?

The President, every member of the Senate and Congress should be held accountable and should have to explain to the American people why these deaths occurred. If they had secured our borders and enforced our existing immigration laws most of these deaths would not have happened.

Amy Kortlang, 22

Allegedly killed by

Rafael Ramirez Perez, 22

Previously convicted felon and illegal alien Rafael Ramirez Perez allegedly went on another drunken roadway rampage which culminated in the death of Amy Kortlang, a young 22 year-old cosmotologist. Perez reportedly was driving recklessly at high speed, causing two seperate crashes, including his head-on crash into Kortlang's vehicle in October, 2006.

Perez allegedly abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot (coward) leaving Amy Kortlang to die. Through vehicle records, police were able to locate the company truck's owner, who identified Perez as the driver. Perez is charged with murder, felony hit-and-run and felony DUI.

Perez had been deported back to his home in Mexico in March 2006, but once again illegally re-enter the US.
