Yesterday, a rally to gather signatures and support the family of murdered HS football star, Jamiel Shaw, was held in So. Central Los Angeles. Many Angelenos are attempting to gather enough signatures to place an initiative on the March '09 ballot that would allow voters to decide whether or not they want to force the LAPD to turn illegal alien gang members over to ICE (currently, they don't when they take them into custody).

I asked these two folks how they gathered signatures and how they feel about the accusation that removing sanctuary city protections for violent criminal illegal aliens, who are predominantly Hispanic, might disrupt the local So. California sense of community.
